Race report from REDS Racing:

Stringer and REDS take the Win!

Over 70 drivers made there way to Maryborough QLD for the Wide Bay Weekender Challenge. The track was quite challenging and we used all the sessions to get the Aaron and the cars dialled in. We were running the Evoke with the small header and the 2113 pipe in the Buggy and the R5T Team Edition with the extra small header and the 2104 pipe on the Truggy. Both of these combinations were awesome.

Qualifying:
Round 1: Buggy was up first and Aaron had a great run and was the only driver to complete 17 laps in 10mins. Truggy was up next and once again Aaron TQ'ed the first round giving us TQ for both classes, we were off to a great start! The REDS were on fire

Round 2: The track had started to break up a bit by now and lap times slowed. Aaron once again took TQ for Buggy. In Truggy we suffered an electrical problem and did not finish.

Round 3: Was conducted late in the day and by now the track was getting very bumpy. Aaron had a few issues with back markers but still managed a 16 lapper and took TQ for the round, no other driver managed a 16 lapper in this round. The Truggy handled the conditions much better and Aaron was again able to take the TQ.

Round 4: Was conducted Sunday morning and Aaron was able to TQ both classed again and complete 17 laps in both classes. Once again being the only driver managing to complete 17 laps for Buggy and Truggy.

Finals: Unfortunately the weather moved in and while the host club tried hard to clean up the track, mother nature won and the event was called off and the results were based off qualifying. The REDS performed perfectly all weekend giving awesome power and great run time, not once did we even look like have a flame out or have to chase the tune in temps ranging from 8 to 26 degrees. Shane Freiberg driving for Walter RC took second in both classes running the REDS R5T Team Edition in both Buggy and Truggy as well.
