The road to the sixteenth IFMAR World Championship awarded in the 1/8-scale off-road division starts tomorrow as the lower finals begin, running all the way up through the 1/16-even. On Saturday, a world champion will be crowned as the best of both Odd and Even ladders meet in the 60 minute final. Eight cars are set in each main event, and four will bump up from the next lowest race. The drivers are split according to odd and even qualifying positions and will stay in that ladder all the way up to the top, and the final will consist of the top five finishers in each semi along with the fastest sixth and/or seventh place drivers to make a total of twelve.

Here's the starting order for both semifinals:

“It’s pretty cool to TQ at the Worlds, that’s pretty big. But TQ doesn’t mean you win - you still have to make it out of the semi. Still, it’s a big accomplishment.”

  2. Lee Martin - England (Mugen Seiki/Novarossi/Pro-Line/Nitrolux)
