With two rounds left in 4WD for the 2015 Reedy Race Invitational, new drivers had a chance to run up front and the crowd went nuts. With the racing action heating up, it was easy to forget that there’s a bigger war going on - that for the overall championship. Two-time defending winner Ryan Cavalieri was mathematically eliminated from contention, ensuring that a new champion - either Ryan Maifield or Jared Tebo - will win his first ever crown.

Billy Easton got the holeshot with his prototype Serpent SRX-4 over Michal Orlowski and Daniel Kobbevik. Just 45 seconds into the race, Orlowski got out of shape on the straightaway and Kobbevik moved to second. Just past the halfway point, Orlowski crashed at the PL point and on the following lap Easton crashed before the triple. This put Kobbevik to the lead with Carson Wernimont second and Ty Tessmann third. Kobbevik crashed existing the chicane at 3:25, letting Wernimont and Tessmann into the top two spots. Twenty seconds later, Tessmann drove to the inside of Wernimont through the center of the track to take the lead. At 4:15, Wernimont and Tessmann crashed after the rollers, moving Kobbevik and Hartson to first and second with Tessmann third. On the last lap, Kobbevik crashed before the triple and Tessmann took the win ahead of Orlowski and Rivkin.

Atsushi got the holeshot but tipped up on two wheels before the triple, letting Drew Moller by to the inside with Ronnefalk and Maifield third and fourth. At 1:00, Hara tumbled twice on the left side and Ronnefalk got to second with Maifield third and Tebo fourth. At 1:35, Ronnefalk crashed after the triple and Maifield got to second, then with 50 seconds to go Ronnefalk caught the pipe in the second corner and Tebo moved up to third. Moller held on for the win, earning redemption for the previous round.

Hupo Honigl got the holeshot ahead of JP Richards, who hit the pipe in the fourth corner and caused a huge pile up that put Amezcua to second and Cavalieri to third. At 1:20, Hupo crashed on the left side and Amezcua took the lead with Cavalieri second. At 2:10, Cavalieri stuffed the pipe in the second corner and Honigl moved back to second, but thirty seconds later Honigl crashed over the triple and Cavalieri and Richards took second and third, but Richards broke and Evans moved up to third.
