Race report from Northern California Racing League (by Codey Hughey):

Round 1 is in the books and with LSR being the hardest surface to adapt too of all the tracks first round points were at a premium. The LSR track crew gave us a great fun and fast layout to do heads up battles on and heads up battles is what we got.

Tekin driver Derek Stephenson and Hobbywing Driver Charlie Cavalier spent most of day in a dead lock tie not facing off until the 4th round where Derek took full advantage of his front row start to grab the overall points lead in the 2wd mod buggy division. Charlie Cavalier how ever not totally disappointed would take the points lead in the Pro Stock Buggy division and 2nd in the Mod Truck division.

The first Northern California T5m sighting was made this weekend with AE driver Eric Albano at the helm would take round 1 of the series in Mod Truck. Eric would not be done though driving to the win in a stacked 4wd Mod Buggy division with Nathan Bernal finishing 2nd and Brian Strange in 3rd. There was no excitement lost for Mod short course as well with great battles between Derek Stephenson, Kyle Layton and Eddie Bernal with Derek piloting to the win in a close battle with Kyle.

The Reedy format brings a very competitive vibe and was so much fun to watch we can't wait for round 2 April 18th at Outback Raceway in Chico!
