The Superb and very fast venue of Mendip was the host of the race this weekend, many drivers turned up on Saturday for some track time, the weather was dry but cool all day saturday.
Sunday morning arrived and we woke up to see it raining and the track with a few puddles on it. It was decided that we would keep open practice running until 10AM to give the track plenty of chance to dry out.
Due to the entry being somewhat lower than usual, mainly due to many of the regular drivers attending the ETS race on the same weekend, it was decided that we could do 6 rounds of Qualifying and 1 Final.
The format therefore was 3 from 6 rounds to count on round by round qualifying. This was hugely welcomed by the racers who were in attendance, so plenty of track time before the National in a couple of weeks.
Schumacher's Mark Musgrove along with Paul Morrissey from the Mendip club, explained the format for the event and all of the information to the drivers. The 6 qualifying rounds all took place and then it was onto the finals.

After the racing we did the traditional trophy and sweet presentation and also the famous Schumacher raffle, congratulations to all the lucky winners of the prizes.
Star prize winner of the Sky RC tyre warmers was the one and only Mr Kris Kennedy, fantastic to see him lucky enough to win a prize after all of the great commentary work he does throughout the finals for us all.
As always a huge thank you to everyone that attended the event. A huge thank you to the Mendip club for hosting the event with us, to Paul on race control and Chris on scrutineering, you both did a superb job!
The next round of the series is at Stafford on 5th July, we hope to see you all there. Booking in at: www.centralbooking.org
