Hinz hammered the field at NorCal Off-Road Champs

Nor-Cal Hobbies in San Jose, CA, hosted their 7th annual Northern California Off-Road Championships last weekend, attracting racers from around the top half of the Golden State as well as Arizona, Southern California, and beyond. Over 100 entries spread over 12 classes competed in the two-day event, with every division decided by a Triple-A Main format.

Team Associated driver Tommy Hinz made the trip from Phoenix, AZ, and went home with three of the awesome wrestling championship belts handed out as trophies on Sunday after a dominating display of driving skill. Hinz earned TQ honors in Modified 2WD, Modified 4WD, and Modified Stadium Truck, and won all three classes in the first two A-Mains to complete the clean sweep. He wasn't the only out-of-towner to find success last weekend, either; fellow Phoenix native Kyle Defatte mimicked the feat in the Stock Buggy class, while San Diego resident Art Sanfratello added a final TQ and win in 4x4 Short Course Modified.
