RC community banded together to help Florida theft victim

Last Monday, I posted the story of Florida off-road racer Lawrence Williams - whose RC equipment was stolen from his full-size vehicle. He sent me an update today, telling a very different tale; that of gracious members of the RC community going out of their way to help get him back on track.

"As some of you may know, I recently had my vehicle broken into and all of my RC cars, radio, starter box and fuel stolen. There has not been any news in that situation, but I do have some good news I would like to share.

After I made my post about everything being stolen I was contacted by a lot of my RC friends wanting to help. Matt Wolter and Tekno RC, Austin Odum, Eric Aldrich and Derran all hooked me up with Tekno cars. I received an EB48.3 from Matt, Austin Odum sent me a NB48.3 practically new with every upgrade you can think of, and also sent me a SCT410.3 brand new also with every upgrade available for the car. Eric Aldrich gave me another brand new SCT410.3 and told me to do as I please with it to help towards my other stolen items. Derren gave me a NT48.3 and let me drive his car last weekend. Richard Dean gave me a Spektrum DX4R radio and 4S LiPo. Brett J Hold is sending me a P5 motor combo and some other things and Jeremy Mangus is sending me a motor combo. Jay Maconi and Dean Lloyd got me a Hobbywing SCT Pro, a starter box and a 2s lipo.

I'm not all the way back yet, man, but I'm close. I really am truly thankfully to my RC family. I was gonna call it quits, but guess y'all like having me around - LOL. I also want to thank the other people that reached out to me and offered to help me out: Ryan Petitt, Stan Jacobs, Derek Jacobs, Ethan Lyons Jeremy McGuigan, and Robert E. Williams - I really appreciate you guys. It means a lot to me."
