In the past several months, the local tracks have been filling up with drivers hopping up their cars and pit areas with a line of products known as TeamSR. Whether it be carbon fiber upgrades, or super trick car stands, the TeamSR logo is becoming more and more common at the track.
Like many people when they see the new products, we asked, "Who is TeamSR?"
After a little investigation we discovered that TeamSR Products is an USA based company located in the heart of Texas and is led by none other than Mike Dumas (championship winning onroad racer). Mike shared a little inside as to the background of how TeamSR Products got started:
"TeamSR is a culmination of efforts backed by a passionate group of hobby enthusiasts, racers, machinists and engineers for many years to manufacturer high quality R/C products at a reasonable cost.
As founder of TeamSR I have been in the R/C industry as an enthusiast starting in 1992, to a successful professional racer involved in R&D for R/C products with many major name brands in industry for over twenty years. As many in this wonderful industry, I quickly realized how addicting and wonderful this hobby is. Having experienced this hobby at a competitive level, and based on feedback from club racers to professional drivers, I have decided to develop products not only for those seeking the utmost in durability and performance but also for those simply seeking an aesthetically pleasing "hop-up." Consequently, quality is such that I would use in my personal R/C vehicles. For us this is not just a hobby, it’s a passion! We will only sell you the best possible product for the money. We will strive to be on the new edge of competition and offer that to you first.
Despite the ubiquitous nature of kit "hop-ups" in industry, I am confident that our line of products differentiates themselves from others both quantitatively and qualitatively. For example, our Quasi-Istotropic carbon fiber is not only leading edge, but we decided to take it a step further by professionally pre-gluing every edge of the carbon fiber. This eliminates an often frustrating step for the end-user. Our business motto is to supply the best possible products for the user of these products," says Dumas.
Here is just a glimpse of Dumas practicing for this coming weekend's ROAR Nationals. While Dumas is focused on developing top of the line products with TeamSR, he still has skills on the track.
The TeamSR production crew have even put together a few videos of their products in manufacturing stages, showing off the quality and precision behind each product!
The latest products in the TeamSR product line include 1/10 & 1/8 car stands/shock building stations, carbon fiber towers for the B4.1, TLR22, DEX210, and RB5, and more is in the works!
