Today is Labor Day, and this day was designed to "celebrate the economic and social contributions of workers," says Wikipedia. Since 1894, workers all across the United Stated have taken a much needed three day weekend to kick back, enjoy the final weeks of summer, and have 0% productivity rate.

I have felt that for the past couple of years I have not shown my full gratitude and support of such a holiday. Sometimes I find myself doing productive things such as giving the dog a bath, mowing the yard, getting a jump start at work on the week ahead, etc. This year I have changed my philosophy and have truly decided to celebrate.

Instead of giving the dog a bath, I went to the local skate park and bashed around the skater kids with my short course truck. Instead of mowing the front yard, I climbed in the neighbors Bobcat and built me a big jump to hit with 1:8 buggy. Instead of getting a jump start at work for the week ahead, I am laying in bed at this very moment in my underwear watching a Family Guy marathon, eating nachos, and typing this one handed.

Today is a day to relax and do NOTHING. I am doing just that, and YOU should too! So go ahead and log off the computer, grab a bologna sandwich, climb back in bed, watch a few cartoons, and RELAX. If anyone asks why just say, "Because Mike and Peter said so!"

HAPPY LABOR DAY TO YOU ALL!
