Well here we go ago, I'm in the mood to build something. Usually when I get on one of these "kicks" I spend way to much money, in way too little time, on way too much of nothing. Majority of the time I build some sort of race car, but this time I'm in the mood to do something a little different.

It all started a few weeks ago while attending the ROAR Regionals at our local track. I only raced one class for the weekend, and with 3+ hours between rounds, I quickly found myself getting bored. To my surprise, my good friends who are new to the R/C racing scene, not only joined me to race that weekend, but also brought a few additional cars with them.  The race took place on Fastlane Raceway's indoor offroad facility, however, the beautiful weather outside allowed for some enjoyable track time on the outdoor offroad and oval track as well.

We decided to take a few of my friend's cars outside and have some fun. Naturally, I got behind the wheel and tried hard to click off laps as I am a "racer" at heart, but something about doing race laps with a lifted 4S brushless powered monster truck isn't really all that fun. I quickly discovered that doing backflips, however, is VERY fun. It wasn't long before we were all taking turns at the wheel seeing who could hit the big step-up and perform the best backflips. I nailed a flawless backflip that featured a slow rotation, low to the ground, and looked amazing. I THOUGHT this would for sure be the winning flip, when out of no where my friend busted out a double backflip. I tried and failed. He then busted out a triple backflip, however, didn't quite stick the landing. I tried and failed at that too.

All of this backflipping excitement and fun got me thinking, and I have decided that I want to build a backflip basher of my own! It's nice to step out of the serious race mode once in awhile to enjoy the care free fun of bashing and backflipping with your buddies!

The big question is...WHAT SHOULD I BUILD? If you were going to build the ultimate backyard backflipping basher, what would YOU build?
