When guys get bored, we YouTube surf. Usually it starts out with a specific topic, which we then find ourselves hours later watching videos having absolutely nothing to do with our original search. An example would be just the other day I was searching for a specific Ryan Dungey (supercross rider) video to show a friend of mine. The video is a total of 4 minutes and 3 seconds. 120 full minutes after watching the video we were STILL on YouTube now watching someone dance dubstep on the Great Wall of China.

Needless to say, I have spent a LOT of time on YouTube watching videos of all different sorts, especially in the R/C and motocross department. The videos are often like songs, they are my favorite for awhile, but then I move on to another.

Currently my favorite YouTube moto video is "Ryan Dungey - The Way Up".

I would have to say at this time my favorite R/C video is "2013 IFMAR 1:10 Buggy World Championships at A Main Hobbies".

What is it about YouTube that gets people so intrigued to continue watching video after video after video? I personally think that it is not necessarily about the content in the video, but the effort  and craftsmanship from those behind the scenes that is put into the video. These are the same people that other than having their name posted in small print somewhere in the credits, are often overlooked and never recognized for their work. A video with absolutely no relevance to your interests can still be worth watching, and enjoyable, IF the video is put together, edited, and produced well.

With that being said, I would like to take this Monday morning to say THANK YOU to ALL of the video producers out there who work hard to fill the YouTube community with so much joy and entertainment, whether your a newbie with a cell phone, or a season vet with a film crew...your work is much appreciated!
