Stock Buggy might be the biggest class at RC, but many of the other classes regularly flourish as well as many of the racers have picked up a second class to maximize their time at the track. Like many old-school racers, Tony Woods has a soft spot for stadium truck - so he picked up an Kyosho RT6 to run as his second class. His maiden voyage with it in the mod truck class ended in a solid TQ and win, so I scoured his pit area to see what kind of cool stuff he had. And I made a friend on the process!
KO Propo RSx2 Response H.C. servo
#30108, $165
Encased in machined aluminum, with gears made of special Japanese aluminum and a servo amplifier tuned for more linear feel with today’s faster 2.4 GHz radios, KO makes a strong case for the most trick servo ever. Its impressive .07s and 201.35 oz. in. of torque numbers on 6V jump to .06s and 244.41 on 7.4V.
Tony said the servo “is just butter,” calling it “so fast and strong.” Tony reported having no glitching issues like those that have been reported by racers at SDRC using cheaper servos.
Pros:
Ultra Fast servo
Tons of torque
Matches KO Propo EX-1 KIY radio and KR-413 receiver perfectly.
Cons:
Kinda pricy
Conclusion:
You get what you pay for.

Durable
Folds up for storage.
Cons:
Little on the heavy side.
Conclusion:
Tony said “as far as pit lights go, this is an awesome unit.”
