With so many scheduled rounds of practice, the drivers have the freedom to change and tune their cars while trying more tire combinations that at any other event - which can be good or bad, depending on the direction a racer's adjustments take him. The focus so far has been the drivers' "seed times," which are the fastest three consecutive laps turned during the run. Heading into the two practice rounds tomorrow, those seed times will actually mean something - because the last five minutes of both ten minute runs will be recorded, and the qualifying heats will be reseeded according to those times (though it's probably not like you think).

The top times slowed down just slightly on Sunday, though it's likely a matter of the drivers trying new tire or setup options rather than the track conditions worsening, as the average pace of the field improved. Ty Tessmann again turned the fastest time, with a best three laps just .163 seconds slower than yesterday. David Ronnefalk leap-frogged ahead of current World Champ Robert Batlle by just .005 seconds, and closed the gap to Tessmann - finishing 1.208 seconds behind whereas Robert was 1.325 behind yesterday.
Many drivers missing near the top improved on Thursday as well, among the most notable being Ryan Maifield - moving up from 21st on Saturday to 4th on Sunday. TQ from 2004. Behind Maifield was Yannick Aigoin, the TQ from 2004 in Furulund, Sweden, moved up to 5th from 31st in the fastest of the new prototype Associated buggies (with Cavalieri 13th and Cragg 20th).
