The 2012 race season is nearly over as the industry prepares for 2013. New teams, new drivers, new races, and another year of new adventure and racing excitement is getting set to kick off. As we are ready for the new year, we look back at some of our most memorable highlights of 2012...
(Left - CRCRC kicked off the 2012 season with the Midwest Electric Champs, Right - Lou Dog doing his best to hide from the papparazzi)
(Left - Despite cold weather, the 2012 racing started of hot, Right - Kai Goff's B4 topless and busting a move on the light-up dancefloor/pit board)
(Left - Jesse Robbers cleaned house at the Nitro Midwest Champs, Right - Nitro powered gun show)
(Left - Darth Vader joins TLR for 2012, Right - Jack in the Box is the track food of choice by Ohio-ans)
(Jorn Neumann kicked puts Team Durango on top winning the 2012 Reedy International Race of Champions)
(The WCRC Reedy Race of Champions was full of international flair with everything from worldwide drivers, to a Euro brick lane on the track)
(Motorama is arguably one of the most exciting motorsport events in the nation as it contains everything from R/C, arenacross, car shows, racing stools, and everything in between)
(Motorama's R/C track isn't big...it's HUGE)
(Left - We couldn't stop staring at such gorgeous wheels on this Motorama show car, Right - No one wanted to be rear-ended on the track by this guy)
(Left - The 2012 Dirt Nitro Challenge kicked off the outdoor season, Right - All the cool kids run flo yellow wheels)
(Left - Ty Tessman may not be old enough to drink the champagne, but is a veteran at celebrating wins with it, Right - As a kid JP dreamed of being Spiderman, he displays his Spidey skills as a Team Manager whenever possible)
(Left - The Psycho Nitro Blast is just that...psycho, Right - Drake goes psycho in the streets with his rocket car)
(Left - Cameraman Bob Kendall enjoys some after race football, Right - The only two brave enough to play football with Bob)
(Left - Mike Darnell pulled out only small amounts of hair in preparation for the ROAR Carpet Nats, Right - The Mike's Hobby Shop heli graveyard is a packed house)
(Left - Possibly the most realistic appearing form of R/C racing, Right - Hebert was a dominant force in 1:12 all year long worldwide)
(The Pro-Line Cactus Classic is a legendary event which brings out the worlds best 1:10 offroad racers...and Suangka's Gumby dolls)
(Left - The brain of Gil Losi Jr. never sleeps but instead enters hibernation mode for a quick recharge between rounds, Right - Brian Kinwald demonstrates the "face-plant chassis scorpion" on the big double)
(Left - The Neo Race is one of UK's biggest 1:8 events of the year, Right - Tebo walked away from England a winner)
(The Harper Adams facility provides supreme racing for the Neo racers)
(One of the gnarliest races in the desert year after year is none other than the Silver State Nitro Challenge)
(Left - Babcock reveals his secret to looking good, Right - Volunteer turn marshalls come in all shapes and sizes)
(Left - Sweet home Alabama is the home of the AMS, Right - Maifield celebrates a well deserved win)
(Left - LCRC racers went all out to keep cool at the ROAR Offroad Fuel Nats, Right - Water evaporating faster than it could be laid down)
(Left - Taylor Peterson listens to "Sexy and I Know It" as he walks the pits, Right - The true definition of "Sexy and I Know It")
(Left - "Happy Anniversary honey, I'm going to Hot Rod", Right - Suangka's personal body guard on duty at all times)
(Left - HOT Rod with emphasis on the "HOT", Right - Mud is a rare site at Hot Rod and attracts even the biggest kids to play in it)
(Naoto wins yet another IFMAR 1:12 World Championship)
(Left - While they may be wearing VRC-Pro attire, these ladies are very real...not a simulation, Right - Jilles Groskamp celebrates an emotional WC win in Amsterdam)
(This privateer was on fire at the 2012 IFMAR Onroad World Championships...literally)
(Reigning IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Champion, Ryan Cavalieri, dominated the ROAR "SuperNats" with a clean sweep of all three 1:10 Mod classes)
(Left - Mod truck is once again re-gaining popularity, Right - Nick Black's response to the suggestion of shaving his moustache)
(Rain at the ROAR Onroad Paved Nats brought out the Angry Birds in everyone)
(This guy was locked out after trying to write speeding tickets to the A-Main Mod TC drivers on the straightaway)
(It's ok...curbs are meant to be jumped)

(Finishing off the 2012 season was the IFMAR 1:8 World Championships in Argentina)
(After all the rain, shine, toxic clouds, internet outages, drama, and disasters....Robert Batlle was crowned the IFMAR 1:8 World Champion after a phenomenal race win!)
The 2012 racing season was full of memories. Some good, some bad, some happy, some sad. As the racing season and year comes to an end, we look forward to an even bigger and better 2013 ahead! We thank all of YOU, the LiveRC viewers, for your ongoing support!
