ACI Sport (the Italian federation of RC cars) kicked off the racing season with the 1st round of the Italian Championship (EP) held at the RC Landia indoor track in Scandiano this past weekend. There was a good turnout of drivers who were able to compete regularly and in full compliance with federal protocols and current national regulations in the field of Covid emergency.
In TC Modified, Gabriele Berselli (Awesomatix) took first blood ahead of Federico Barbieri (WRC) and Mattia Collina (Schumacher). In TC Stock, Denny Giacomelli dominated the class ahead of Luca GIovannoni (Schumacher) and Diego Locatelli (Serpent). In Formula, Bryan Ferrara took the first round ahead of Luca Tassinari (Schumacher) and Simone Pavanello (Fenix). In FWD, it was Guido Carbognani to take the win ahead of Enrico Rabitti and Filippo Claudio Venturelli. Finally, in the GT 21.5 class, Andrea Tonini stepped on the highest podium place ahead of Ambrogio Vender and Denny Giacomelli.
Coming up next, on June 12/13, the 2nd round (of 4) of the Italian Championship for EP onroad classes will be held at the outdoor track of Minicar Fontanellato.
