Report by Michael Stone
The 2022 NSW Off-Road 1/8th titles were hosted by IRC this past weekend.
A medium sized dirt track, grooving up nicely for finals.
Practice went well on Friday, with great consistency and car pace in EP8. While getting the hang of the IC buggy the times and consistency started to show. Our entire team worked well together to develop a consistent setup heading into qualifying.
EP 1/10th drivers Matthew Couper and Ben Cribbin showed great consistency and pace in IC buggy. With Mathew taking P2 on the grid for the 45min A main, Ben taking the last direct spot in P8, with Michael Stone in P9 having to bump in through the B final.
In EP8 Michael Stone was able to secure TQ and winning both A1 and A2 to secure the NSW title for 2022. With fellow Xray drivers Chris Lander in P4, Clint Walsh in P9 and Darren Cains in P10, also making the main.
Ebuggy results:
The IC buggy 45min A main would see 4 XRAY XB8’s competing for the win. With Matthew Couper driving super smooth to bring home a solid P2 Ben Cribbin in P5, Michael Stone in P8 and Darren Cains in P9, all putting in superb drives in some challenging conditions with high tyre wear.
Nitro buggy results:
Thank you to all team members for a great showing, you all performed really well and look forward to the next event.
