2022 XRS Poland R5 Results

This weekend we had the 5th round of XRS Milansport Poland Onroad race. It was held as always in city Zawadzkie. It was a 2 day event – Saturday practice & 5 qualifications and Sunday 3 Final runs.

In FWD class Mateusz Bania was like always the fastest driver on the track taking the TQ in front of Michal Bugajski, both driving the XRAY T4F. In the Finals Mateusz just had to keep a clean runs and build up a safe distance from Michal, but to all surprise Adrian Lippich finally found a good setup for his car and from 9th starting place he manage to gained few spots up and was able to fight with Michal for the 2nd spot. Mateusz won the race by winning all 3 A-mains and Adrian managed to finish on 2nd spot by finishing two times on second spot in front of Michal who finished on 3rd place the race.

F1 class showed some close fight action tire-to-tire. Tomasz Malkiewicz was able to make the best runs in qualis taking the TQ. In finals it was a fight for the win, Tomasz had the pole position but one mistake could cost him the lead. Rafal Zeljas was behind him waiting for the chance to pass but it never happened so he had to settle with the 2ndplace. Michal Wojcik managed to set his car and pick the right tires for the finals, he finished the race on 3rd spot with some unlucky situation that didn’t allow him to fight for better place.

TC Stock 13.5T was as always the most popular class on the race. With 25 drivers on the grid the fight was for the A-main. Arkadiusz Smyk was invincible as the only driver making a lap below 12sec in the qualis so it was for sure he will get the TQ. Behind Arek it was Mateusz Bania and Norbert Omelanczuk. In the finals we seen some great and fair fight between Mateusz and Norbert for the second place but it was Norbet who came out victorious from the fight taking the 2nd place and Mateusz finished on 3rd.

In TC Stock 13.5T class we also have a Junior division – under 16 age:

In 1/10 GT class Michal Bania was able to make some clean runs taking the TQ in front of Alexander Ockajak from Slovakia. Michal was able to convert his TQ into a Win, on second place Michal Abromowicz was able to pump up from 4th staring place and Alexander had to settle with the 3rd place.

1/12 GT is getting more and more competitive and showing some great fights. Przemyslaw Wicher was able to take the TQ with his XRAY car in front of his team mate Szymon Czech also driving a XRAY car. In the final it was a big fight between them two for the overall win and Szymon was the one who managed to take the Win! Przemyslaw finished the race on 2nd spot and Adrian Lippich managed to take the 3rd place.

In the fastest class on the track was 1/12 modi. Arkadiusz Smyk was again the fastest driver from all and took the TQ easily, but it wasn’t so easy in the finals. Behind him was Norbert Omelanczuk who managed to win A1 so Arkadiusz had to put it all into the two finals. Arkadiusz managed to win A2 and A3 taking the overall win. Norbert finished 2nd and Jakub Klapacz had to settle with the 3rd spot.

In TC Modified Jakub Michalski showed some great runs and that he can keep up the speed in each lap having a small difference between best lap and medium lap. Great racing from him and taking the TQ in front of Mateusz Bania. Michal Wojcik had the speed but was missing the rotation needed on this track so he had to start the finals from 3rd spot. In the finals Jakub won all of them and Michal finished behind him. Mateusz was able to stay on the podium.

E-14 Truck is as always a great class for drivers who are looking for slower class with some fun. Aleksander Spyra was able to take the TQ, Dominik Wasikowski was 2ndand Sara Hrklova from Slovakia was 3rd on the starting order in finals. Aleksander was able to convert his TQ into a win. Lukasz Koziol who was 4th on the starting grid was able to fight his way to 2nd place on the podium, Dominik Wasikowski finished the race on 3rd place.
