2024 RCCB - A-Feature Outlaw Sprint presented by Custom Works

In the years past we’ve seen offroad racers do well in this new world of dirt oval. This year, long time offroad racer, Tyler Hooks showed he was a force in this class quickly adapting the left-turn only format. Ready to challenge TQ Grant Ryals, disaster would strike for Ryals as he would get collected in pile up putting Hooks to the point. The rest is history as they say as Hooks opened up his lead to 5-seconds over Chad Jones who amazingly would go on to finish second from the tenth starting position! Taking the win would be Tyler Hooks.

2024 RCCB - A-Feature Late Model presented by Whitz Racing

In dirt oval racing it’s crucial to get a good start and Wesley Call accomplished this thinking he could cruise for a win. With the rest of the field scrambling for position behind, charging hard making his way to the front was fourth qualifier Grant Ryals saying not so fast. The two put on an awesome display of driving. On the last lap it was a drag racing to the line with Call having just a bit more forward grip to take the win by half a second over Ryals. Good job guys!

2024 RCCB - A-Feature SC Modified presented by Fusion Motorsports

The final race of the weekend was the SC Modified and the favorite for a win was Jordon Hefler. Being the favorite and actually taking a win were two different things and as it would turn out, the three front runners late in the race left the rest of the field behind by two laps. The trio of Hefler, Zac Rose and Kevin McNatt were steam rolling through traffic fighting for a pass. With a couple of consecutive lead changes and the remaining laps running down, Hefler would have the lead at the right time to take the win. Rose would finish in the second spot 1-second behind with McNatt settling for third 6-tenths behind Rose.

2024 RCCB - A-Feature Masters Sprint presented by JConcepts

It could have been any of the Top 5 drivers in the Masters Sprint class that could take the win. It would take 38 laps to crown a winner and right from the start TQ Brian Roberts and Scott Butts battled with Butts able to make a pass in the closing minutes. While making his car as wide as possible, Butts was able to fend off the attacks from Roberts and take the win by less than 2-seconds. Tim McNutt would finish where he started in third not being able to mount an attack on the front runners.

2024 RCCB - A-Feature Midwest Modified presented by 5 Star Hobbies

TQ Justin Driemeier got off to a rough start at the beginning of the A-Feature losing a spot in the first turn. It didn’t take long for him to show pace to get the top position back after a handful of laps. It was afterburners from there trying to run away from fourth qualifier Grant Ryals who was coming in fast. The pair had matching pace taking it to the end with Driemeier edging Ryals out by three-tenths of a second at the line. Ryan Ralph rounded out the podium grabbing third.

2024 RCCB - A-Feature Wingless presented by McAllister

The Wingless Sprint class uses the Hobbywing G4 13.5 handout motor and as you can imagine with similar speeds the racing was super close. Jordan Hefler had been fast all weekend and that momentum continued as he started in the number one spot and held it until the end for the win. Sometimes you need luck and racing and this exactly what Randy Lathrop got finishing in the second spot all the way from the seventh starting position. Ross May would round out the podium.

2024 RCCB - A-Feature Street Stock presented by BeachRC.com

The hotly contested Street Stock saw Drake Hartzell leading out the field for the 34-lap A-Feature. Just because you start in the front doesn’t guarantee you’ll finish there, especially when you have a mirror full of Justin Haley. Haley, a NASCAR Cup driver admitted he was more nervous racing RC than full size cars did manage to pull a pass a dozen laps in and never looked back to take the win.

6 Grant Gibson
7 Sejin Whittle
8 David Whittle
9 Dan Trimbur

A-Feature SC B Mod presented by Power Products

Though the SC B Mod was meant to be for beginner to intermediate drivers, the competition for a win was fast and fierce with TQ Zachary Lutz starting on the point. With consistency on his side, Lutz put in super clean laps to keep his lead bring in tow third qualifier Trevor Pearson. As a two horse race was developing, the closest Pearson managed to get to the leader was three seconds as the pair were driving near identical lap times making it hard to close the gap. The finishing order would b Lutz taking the win, Pearson second with Scott Airhart finishing 3rd from the fifth position. Nicely done!
