Sign ups are now open for SDRC Raceway’s Point Break Battle Royale event, taking place during the weekend of June 1-2, 2024. This race will employ a non-traditional format, with drivers skipping qualifying and competing over five heads up race rounds. Think Reedy Race with a twist. Winner will be determined via a points system based on your finishing place in your race, along with bonus points for hot lap, fastest overall run across the class, and best 3 consecutive laps. This year we are also adding joker cards that allow drivers to strategically move their start position up on the grid a limited number of times.
There are three skill level divisions for buggies, including bronze (21.5 2wd and 17.5 4wd), silver (17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd), and gold (no motor limit). There will also be a 13.5 stadium truck and 13.5 short course class, an open 4wd truck class, as well as a 30+ masters 2wd class.
