2025 1up Cup Series R1 Results

The first round of the inaugural 1up Cup Series was held at Outback Raceway on the grounds of the world-famous Amain Hobbies headquarters in Chico, California. A huge 120’ x 60’ carpet track greeted the racers for a fun weekend of racing action at this immaculate facility.

In the premiere Mod TC class presented by RCMAKER, Jacob Cruz (Mugen) overcame a fluke retirement in A1 to take the win in A2 & 3 for the overall win! Kyle Colbert (RCMAKER) and Brandon Clements (Schumacher) rounded out the podium.

Spec TC presented by Team Powers was the biggest and most competitive class of the event, with three different drivers winning the triple A-mains. With less than 20 seconds to go in A3, TQ Lex Tyler (Awesomatix) made an outstanding pass to seal the overall win over Ed Whitecotton (Schumacher) and James Joiner (Schumacher).

In USGT presented by Team Associated, Ed Whitecotton (Schumacher) was the man to beat all weekend as he took the win over Ken Gerberding (ARC) and Arthur Knight (Schumacher).

Front Wheel Drive presented by MR33 is always a blast to watch, and this event was no different. It came down to the final laps of A3 where Arthur Knight (Mugen) prevailed in a close battle with James Joiner (Schumacher). Sawyer Bruer (Mugen) rounded out the podium.

Dave Constant (Awesomatix) took the TQ and Win in GT12 presented by Amain Hobbies, ahead of Rick Yoder (Roche) and James Nelson (XRAY).

EJ Evans (Awesomatix) was on another level in 1/12 13.5 presented by Team EAM, winning from TQ over Mike Gordon (Schumacher) and Todd Pearson (Schumacher).

F1 saw Dave Constant (Exotek) taking the overall win after some spirited battles with Dan Devey (Excelerate). Eric Singler put his CRC third on the podium.

Jason Mavrakis (Schumacher) was on fire in VTA, taking the TQ and win over Anthony Nguyen (Mugen) and Scott Norcross (Mugen).

Round 2 of the 1up Cup Series rolls off March 21-23 at BWS Raceway in Perris, California!
