8-year-old wins 3 Classes for Team Associated at the Mustit Xmas Race

 

Team Associated was handed a big win by a small driver in Mustit Raceway, Norway.

The conditions on the track were a little bit more slippery than usual. The Team was a little bit smaller than usual, too, with the addition of Daniel Kobbevik, 8 years old.

After three rounds of qualifying, Daniel had TQ'd in 2WD Stadium Truck with his T4.1; Niklas Roos TQ'd 2WD Buggy with his AE B4.1 Worlds Car (Daniel in third place); Joakim Nicolaysen TQ'd 4WD Buggy with his B44.1 (Daniel in second place with his B44.2); and Oyvind Rasch Olsen TQ'd 4WD Short Course with his Team Durango truck (Daniel in second place).

Daniel Kobbevik ran the gauntlet in the driver's stand for hours, race after race, class after class. Finally, legs shaking in fatigue, he ended up taking three wins out of four, and placed second in the 2WD class behind Niklas Roos.

Team Associated made it to the top the podium in all four classes at the final race in Norway for 2012.

• SC10 4x4, 1st place
• RC10B4.1 Worlds Car, 2nd place
