As we get set for the start of the 2019 ROAR 1/10 Electric Off-Road Nationals, I decided to take a look back over the past 10 years at the A-Main results from the premiere 2wd Mod Buggy and 4wd Mod Buggy class A-Mains.

Quite honestly the first thing that struck me interesting was the number of new names vs. repeat names over the years. Take a look at the 4wd Mod Buggy class for example; 6 of the A-Main finishers from 2009 were also 6 of the A-Main finishers in 2018. While we have seen a few old racers fade out, and a few new racers enter in, are these repeat results purely a sign of the veterans talent and abilities, or a concerning lack of new interest and talent to take their place?

As for drivers, all of the drivers listed below are very impressive, but the driver who has impressed me the most on this list would have to be Ryan Cavalieri. In the Mod 2wd Buggy class Ryan is tied for the most wins (between 2009-2018) with Dakotah Phend at 3 wins each. In Mod 4wd Buggy, Ryan has a staggering 5 wins over the past 10 years, ahead of Ty Tessmann's 3 class wins. Both Ryan Cavalieri and Ryan Maifield are the only two drivers who have been in all 20 of the A-Mains listed below, but for Cavalieri, perhaps one of the most impressive facts that in either class his WORST finish over 10 years has been 4th place.

Will we see the "same bunch" of drivers top the field for 2019, or will new rising talent step in to take their turn in the limelight?
