As the 2013 racing season is coming to a close we have already begun to see changes in the team rosters taking place for 2014. Some come as a surprise, others not as much. One thing that has come as a surprise is a post made today by Jared Tebo on his personal JTP RC Blog which leaves us wondering what's in store for 2014.
Jared says, "As many know, my 5 year contract with Kyosho is coming to an end this year. That was the longest contract I’ve had in my career and I can’t believe it’s almost up. 5 years ago I wasn’t to sure what direction my racing career was headed, and Kyosho stepped up for me. It’s been a great 5 years with many major wins, 8 ROAR National Championships, 2 IFMAR World Championship TQ’s, and an IFMAR 2wd World Championship. Is there another 5 year contract in the works? Are some of my other sponsors going to change to 2014?
JTP RC is also growing and evolving. I’m using this off season to test the waters on what I want to see in the future with JTP RC. Time is always the issue, all great ideas seem great, but trying to turn an idea into an actual action is the tough part. I’m working with a marketing planner to better market myself and my sponsors. Look for some new and exciting things in 2014."
With a successful year finishing off with an IFMAR 2wd World Championship win for Kyosho, we can't imagine the two parting ways, however, stranger things have happened.
Are sponsorship changes in the works for Jared Tebo? If so, what do you think will be changing and why?
