Yesterday proved to be a truly tragic day in the motorsports industry, as we lost the lives of two great racers and a great mechanic.
The motorsports industry was first stunned as they watched in horror while Indy car superstar, Dan Wheldon, was involved in a fiery crash that would take his life at the final round of the Indy car championship in Las Vegas. Soon after, news of a small plane crash outside of Barstow, California killing three on board was released. In the small plane was offroad truck racing phenomenon Rick Huseman, and his brother Jeff Huseman. After this weekend's supercross racing, Team Makita Suzuki's mechanic Nick Hoffman was found dead in his hotel room at the age of 30. No further details have been released.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families off all of those lost in yesterday's tragedies.....Godspeed.
