A lot of excitement took place on the track this past weekend at the 2019 CRCRC Midwest Championships, but for one lucky young man the excitement was all about the acts of kindness off the racetrack instead.
"Oldman Billy" was the lucky winner of the Horizon Hobby raffle and was given a brand new TLR 22T 4.0 stadium truck. Billy then pays it forward hands the truck to young racer Carson Combs. Before long Carson was overwhelmed with racers adding to the prize and eventually making the truck nearly complete and ready to race! Donations included Tyler Hooks handing Carson his ROAR Nationals winning Tekin ESC and 17.5 motor, Dalton Myers with a Spektrum servo, Kevin Abbott from Trinity hooks him up with a brand new Lipo Factory battery, Dakotah Phend and a brand new set of mounted AKA tires, Cory Richardson and his own personal Spektrum radio, Cole Henriksen with spare parts and a-arms, Kevin Myers with a new servo arm, John Motura with a pit boss car stand, Curt Schlichter and Nick Bocklage donated a new TLR Body, and Bradley Farmer at Bradley Fine Line Designs is going to lay down a custom paint job!
To top it off, the entire TLR team signed the box for him, and made the 2019 CRCRC Midwest Championship a weekend to remember for Carson Combs.
