After four years, including an AOC Korea victory and Worlds final appearance in 2016, Japanese rising star Naoki Akiyama leaves Team Yokomo. Here's what he said on Facebook yesterday:
"I've been here for about 4 years, and my contract has ended.
I have a lot of valuable experience from Yokomo, and I'm full of gratitude.
Thank you very much for the team, but thank you for your help Yukijiro Umino and Ronald Völker.
Thank you, Umino, who has always supported me. Umino, thank you very much!
If Umino and Ronald weren't there, I wouldn't be here now.
And thank you for all the family people who support me at any time.
Thank you very much!
I'm going to do my best for more than ever, so I'll do my best for you!"
