XRAY Race Report:
The AMSCI Italian Nationals 2012 was held at the beautiful track in Gubbio where the Nitro European Championship took place three years ago. For this event they introduced a chicane on the straight to adapt the long track for the electric models. It was a very hot weekend in Gubbio either for high temperatures (40° air and 65° asphalt), or for the tight competition for the title in the E-1 Class. Like previous races, the drivers were divided into E-Stock Class (13.5T No Timing) and E-1 Class (Modified). The five qualifications started on Sunday morning and in E-Stock Class it was Maurizio Taddei who immediately took control of the race to get pole position ahead of Lapo Lebraschi and Michelangelo Tagliavini. It was a similar situation in E-1 Class where Alessio Menicucci took TQ followed by teammate Diego Macchioni and Alessandro Ciaccheri.
E-Stock Finals:
Maurizio Taddei dominated every final, winning all of the races and the championship. Lapo Lebraschi was 2nd and Nico Catelani 3rd.
