Amezcua split from Panther Products

Former national champion Travis Amezcua joined SoCal-based tire manufacturer Panther Products in January of 2014, not only serving as the brand's most visible team driver but also contributing to R&D efforts in a stated attempt to bring the company back into the forefront of RC racing.

The partnership never seemed to come to fruition, however, with little development of new racer-minded items and no additional regional or national team drivers. Around 7:30 PM yesterday, while in Ohio for this weekend's CRCRC Midwest Electric Championships at The Ohio RC Factory in Jeffersonville, Amezcua posted a statement to his Facebook page confirming the end of his time with Panther.

"As of today Panther Tires and myself have decided to end our two year relationship. It was a great time working with them on the development side of things. I wish them the best of luck for 2016 and beyond."

Travis said that he does not know where he will end up for this season, and no rumors have yet surfaced.
