As the R/C "Silly Season" continues, Ty Tessmann has announced his departure from Team Orion for his electric off-road racing program.

Ty posted via Facebook, "For the past 4 years I have raced for Team Orion for my electric program and have had many successes together with them. I would like to thank Phillipe Neidhart for giving me the opportunity to run for Orion, I would also like to thank Joe Pillars for the great support all the time, whether at races or not, you are a great asset to the team. I don't take changing sponsors lightly but I feel it is now time for me to go a different direction for my electric program. I'm looking forward to great things in 2018."

A definite answer to where he is headed is still unconfirmed, however, social media rumors and speculation point towards a number of different brands - with Hobbywing being one of the most popular assumptions. We expect to see the rumors to be laid to rest with an official announcement in the coming weeks (perhaps days), so stay tuned!
