Former world champion Neil Cragg announces he will no longer be racing for LRP, but that he chooses to join the Alpha Plus factory team — a new deal for which X Factory UK makes a statement as well.

On April 23, Neil posted this message to Facebook:

"Hey guys. I wanted to let you know that I have parted ways with LRP, it has been an amazing ride with many victories but now is the time for a change. Myself and my Dad would like to thank Jürgen, Andy and everyone at LRP for the many years of great service and many successes. We wish Jürgen and the team the best of luck in the future."

And yesterday, Neil said this about using Alpha engines:

"I would like to let you guys know that I will be using Alpha Engines in my nitro cars for the 2018 season! I would like to thank Jon Dell and the whole team for giving me this opportunity. Having tested the engines I am super pleased with the performance so far. I look forward to racing for Alpha, starting at Westmill for the 1st round of the BRCA Nationals this coming weekend."

Shortly afterward, X-Factory RC UK (www.xfactoryrc.co.uk) released this statement:

"We are delighted to announce that R/C superstar, Neil Cragg has joined the Alpha factory team to run Alpha engines in his 8th buggy. For us at X-Factory UK this is an amazing opportunity to work with a driver of Neil’s ability and talent to showcase on the world stage how good the Alpha products are, and we thank him and his father, Mick for joining the team.

Neil will be using the new Alpha Dragon 4 engine, combined with Alpha 2134 exhaust and P range of glow plugs. The Dragon 4 is an evolution engine to the Dragon 3, where improvements have been made to provide more power, a more linear feel along with more fuel run time.

We all here wish Neil the very best of luck for all of his events, and look forward to a long and successful partnership."
