Kyle McBride to Team Durango

Australian youngster Kyle McBride has signed with Team Durango.

You may remember Kyle from such events as...OK, you may only know him from one. But it's a fairly legit event. And he did pretty well there.

The 14-year-old McBride will look to build upon his fourth place finish at the IFMAR worlds with his new ride. Early reports of the car's performance out of the McBride camp are overwhelmingly positive. (it wasn't likely that they would tear apart the car they just signed on to run)

We at LiveRC wish Kyle and his dad Scott the best of luck! We look forward to seeing him develop into dominant force in the future. Team Durango is lucky to have him.

At only 14 years old, Kyle McBride finished fourth in the 2010 1/8 off-road Worlds in Thailand. Kyle’s talent and ability is obvious, and awesome. He, and his dad Scott, make a formidable team, which is why we wanted them to be part of Team Durango.

Although Kyle is only at the start of his RC racing career, we believe that he will continue to improve and be one of the very best racers RC off-road has ever seen. We are very happy that he has decided to join us for the 2011 season.

Scott sent us a few words about Kyle’s first run with the DNX408:

“We hit the track for the first time last Saturday with the new Team Durango DNX 408, and all I can say is WOW! Out-of-the box this car is the best car Kyle has ever driven!
We put the Durango through its paces over the course of a 4 hour test session, and the car was faultless. I made two minor changes, “that’s it” over a 4 hour test session – unbelievable. There were a lot of jaws dropping once they realized who was driving this insanely quick DNX408. Kyle was totally over the moon with his new car and can’t wait for the season to start.”
