As first reported by Inside Line RC, Tekno RC’s listing of a new gun metal-anodized 7075 aluminum Ackerman plate included either a complete typo - or the first confirmation of an upcoming EB/NB48.4 platform. The description is only found on the Tekno RC website’s page for item #TKR8100, which is designed quite differently from the existing TKR5100 Ackermann plate used on every iteration of the brand’s previous vehicles. You can see the item here:

Whereas the TKR5100 is thicker, with machined pockets where the tie rods attach, the new TKR8100 is flat - and the tie-rod mounting options are offset, indicating a different range of adjustment options than the TKR5100 piece.
Old version (TKR5100)New version (TKR8100)
The previous version buggies have been incredible successful, but they’re not exactly new anymore - the EB48.3 was introduced on June 30, 2015 with the NB48.3 announced on July 20, 2015. We know that Tekno RC’s team drivers are constantly testing new components on their cars, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a new car coming soon.
