X Factory Race Report:
Ashley Anthony, already 2012 Australian National Champion, took the New South Wales title last weekend at the Ryde track near Sydney. With about 100 entries overall, the largest single class was stock buggy, with 38 entries. Anthony’s X – 6 Squared won all four qualifiers to take TQ, then won A-1 & A-3 to take the title.
“My X – 6 Squared was simply dialed, clearly the best car on the track, and I was easily able to control the race,” said Anthony afterward. “I could run the whole race at my pace. The only reason I didn’t win A-2 was my own mistake which put me back to 7th or 8th. I finished second, and if there had been another minute could have won that one too.”
In qualifier 3, Ash had the first 10-lap run in any stock motor class.
