Race report from Team Associated:

Four Team Associated RC8B3 production samples hit AMS 6.0

The sixth annual Alabama Manufacturer Shootout is the first time that the production based RC8B3 buggies are competing on a national level. In addition to Carson Wernimont and engineer Kody Numedahl, both Michael Paige and Blake Boggs are running actual production samples of the kit.

Previously, our drivers have raced prototype buggies built with parts that may have been handmade or custom-machined. Wernimont, Numedahl, Paige, and Boggs are racing the sample kits in Alabama as one of our final checks to ensure that the car is ready to go. What better test than at one of the largest and toughest races in the country?

If you are participating at AMS, make sure to stop by the Team Associated pits and check out the RC8B3!

The guys are off to a good start - all four finished in the top 13 in round one of qualifying (Michael - 4th, Kody - 5th, Carson - 7th, and Blake - 13th), which means they were resorted into the ‘A’ heat for round two. And Carson had the fastest lap of the round at a blistering 28.297!
