New from Awesomatix (via Facebook):
Awesomatix now has double cardan joint driveshafts for the A700 touring car, similar to double-jointed axles from other manufacturers but with several different features. Awesomatix says the new shafts are easier to assemble than the standard units, with two threaded pieces holding the unit together, and last at least three times longer than the driveshafts they replace. Along with reduced backlash, improved precision, and better concentricity, the driveshafts can be tuned to optimize “chatter” (or angular speed fluctuation inconsistency) for track conditions by replacing the shifted slot pairs of universal rings.
