Race Report from Tim Barth:
First off what an amazing place. The Kil-Kare track would prove to be one of the hardest tracks to drive. And for me the most fun to drive. We started Friday with open practice. To get a feel for the track. The track had a nice rubber up groove from the quater midgets and it made u think that's where you would want to run. Turns out that's not the case at all. That part of the track was like ice. You could run one line up of it and one line below it and it was pretty good. I'd spend most Friday trying to tighten up my Car. I felt I got a pretty good handle on it. So I was done practicing. Sat morning would start off with 1 10min round and 1 5 min round of controlled practice. Car felt good could put it almost anywhere I wanted to. Even across the black if I was careful. 1st heat I would end up winning working my way from the back. 2nd heat I finished 2nd. That set me up for the pole of the main. Matt Graves would start 2nd. We where tied for the series points lead going into the race. 100 Lap a main. I would slip up once and Matt got under me for the lead. Wouldn't be long and Matt Slipped and I took it back and held it for the 1st fuel stop. After the fuel stop we would go back green and I started to check out about half a lap on the field. A few yellows later Matt was nipping on my heels waiting for me to make a mistake. I held my line on the bottom and went on to win the A main and the Tristate series Championship. It's been awesome to race Matt neck and neck all year. Now we are both Moving up to Sportsman and I'm adding sprint car to my line up. There's a long list of people to thank for making this 1st year so Awesome! Big thanks to everyone!
