IFMAR World Champion and multi-time European Champion, Robert Batlle, has announced his departure from AKA via a Facebook post on his public figure page which stated:

"It is moment to let you know that I will not be AKA driver for 2018, our one year relationship has been really succesfull getting the Euro’s, Spanish Nats and Montpellier Gp titles. I really appreciate all the hard work aka people has done for me, specially Mark Pavidis to help me during all year to understand better the tires and Bernard for Euros support. I have new goals for this upcoming years. Thank you so much to Joel and all AKA people, I wish you the best!"

His official destination for 2018 is still unknown, but a future announcement from Robert for his new tire sponsor for 2018 is expected soon.
