Bayer Dominates Mibosport Cup

The Big final also the overal 2018/19 season of the Mibosport cup has finished, it took a place as always in the Hotel Sport Hrotovice with around 270 entries, which was the record for this year! This race was also special, because of the double points from this race, so it could really change the overall rankings.

There was as always a free followed by controlled practice on Friday. It was Hupo Hönigl going into the qualies from the 1st position with 2WD and Martin Bayer was 1st with 4WD.

After qualies it was Martin on the top in both classes, followed by Ales Bidovsky and Hupo in 2nd and 3rd with 2WD, with 4WD it was Adam Izsay 2nd and Hupo again 3rd. I was starting 4th from the 4WD grid and 5th with 2WD, not the best starting positions, but I unfortunately couln’t make it a 5 min race in the qualies.

With 4WD it was Martin who took the win in A1 and A2 and secured the overall win. I put good runs in A1 and A2, even tried to catch Martin, but he is still too fast, I finished 2nd in both of the finals and so I finished also in the end! Hupo took the 3rd place now, in front of 4th Bartolomiej and 5th Zsolt Bajusz.

4WD Buggy Results

1. Bayer Martin – XRAY XB4
2. Götzl Max – XRAY XB4
3. Hönigl Hupo – XRAY XB4

The 2WD class, Hupo was able to take the win in A1 because of Martin’s stupid mistake in the last lap, but Martin didn’t give up and took the win in A2 and A3 to take the overall win. Hupo finished overal 2nd and I was able to take the 3rd, as I put a great run in A3 and took 2nd, plus a 3rd from A1 made it the overal P3! Ales Bidovsky took 4th and Bartolomiej Zambrzycki 5th.

In 2WD Stock class, Juraj Hudy drove great in the finals and took the overall win, congrats!

As this was the last race of the Mibo season, there was the overal championship ceremony.

Martin Bayer was crowned the Mibosport cup 2018/19 2WD and 4WD champion! Hupo took the 2nd step on the podium in both classes, I finished 3rd with 4WD and 4th in 2WD behind 3rd Ales Bidovsky. Ales finished 4th in 4WD and Adam Izsay took the 5th place in both!
