Elliott Boots takes 5th Kyosho Masters Title!
Race report by Elliott Boots
What a great wend at the 16th Kyosho Masters in France, another great event run by Kyosho Europe!
Friday was all day practice, the track was a little wet but dried very quickly, I was very happy with both my cars, it was very similar to last years set up apart from going softer on the tyre compounds.
Saturday was qualifying and my Kyosho cars were amazing !! They felt so fast, so I was able to take TQ in both classes. I was using my Reds R7 EVOKE V3.0 to power my nitro buggy and Tekin 1950 indoor motor to power my E buggy, I used X3 Diamond back Proline tyres on both cars that worked amazing.
We also had an E buggy A Final, being three legs, and after a epic race with Riccardo, I was able to make a last lap move to take the win.
Sunday was finals day, with a big downpour at the start of the day, the track was taking a long time to dry out, but was all good to go for my semi, but before this, there would be the second leg of the E buggy, and after making a good start, I was able to take the win, and taking 1st overall for the class
Semi final was now on a dry track, and I made a few changes to my car, to try in the semi, and it felt a lot better, so was able to take the fastest time to put me on pole for the main A final
Main A Final
With a 45 min final and the sun shinning it was looking good for a dry race. I made a great start, my Kyosho MP9 TKI 4 felt awesome ! My Reds R7 was super fast, we made a few changes to the engine set up. We decided to do 6.40 min fuel stops, as track was fast, so after about 5 mins ! I was lapping cars already, and I was to go on to a faultless race taking the win by 2 laps !! a great wend !!
I big thanks to Kyosho Europe, and Christophe, for another great meeting, and to meet fans and other drivers, from around the world hope to see you all there next year.
Thanks to all my sponsors, and to Mick and Charlie for there help this wend.
Also a big congrats to Taro Cradock for winning the Expert class and to Jack Embling for taking 3rd in both classes
