This past weekend Thunder Alley Raceway hosted round one of the JBRL Nitro Series. The event had nearly 300 entries! Some of the top drivers in attendance included Adam Drake, Ryan Cavalieri, Cody King, Steve Harris, Colin Herzig, Jeremy Kortz, Anthony Westergaard, and Richard Saxton.

Adam Drake took the top qualifying honors in nitro buggy and nitro truck. Ryan Cavalieri was the top qualifier for electric buggy. Due to the large turnout the main event times were reduced. Drake took the victory in nitro truck. Drake and Cavalieri had a great battle in nitro buggy finishing only 0.221 apart. Cavalieri took the win followed by Drake and King. Drake also finished second in electric buggy.

Richard Saxton took the victory in the 40+ buggy class using the NEW O.S. Speed B21AD nitro engine.
