Speedzone Race Report:
Mike’s Hobby Shop in Texas was the host of the 2012 ROAR Carpet On-Road Nationals. The Touring 17.5 Non Timing class had some of the closest qualifying, with the top five spots separated by a mere 2 seconds. When it came time for the A-Mains, Chris Adams would drive two flawless runs, running some of the fastest laps of the weekend, and would take down victories in A1 and A2 with his Speedzone Lipo powered TC. His A2 run would miss breaking the elusive 34 lap barrier by a mere 3 tenths of a second. What makes the wins even more special is that Chris purchased his Speedzone “Peerless Series” Lipo Pack from the hobby shop, the weekend of the Nationals. The two A-Main wins clinched the 17.5 Nationals Title for Chris and gave Speedzone its first ever ROAR National Championship!
