The Taranaki Radio Control Car Club recently hosted the 2014 North Island Champs in New Zealand. Team XRAY driver, Chris Banham, set the pace throughout qualifying by taking a solid TQ in the 1:8 buggy class. When it came time to for the final, Banham would start off cruising out front, but after a flame out he found himself fighting his way back to the top. At the 45 minute mark, despite his struggles, Banham would find himself once again back out front and taking the overall victory!
