Race Report by X Factory:
The Annual Freeze race held Full Throttle Raceway in Troy N.Y. on Jan 25 attracted over 100 entries on a blustery snowy 14 degree day. Perfect! X Factory’s Chris Proctor won 17.5 buggy with his X – 6 Cubed and mod short course with his SCX – 60CF. Chris TQed all three qualifiers in both classes and took home the wins.
In 17.5 buggy, Chris was half a lap ahead of the pack in each qualifier. He crashed early in the main, fell back to mid-pack, fought his way back to take over the lead about mid-race, and took down the win by a comfortable margin.
In short course, the margin was much closer in the qualifiers, with Proctor TQing by a few seconds. In the main Chris kept it mistake-free and took his second win.
