From Team Associated (via Facebook):
Someone involved with the social media team at Team Associated might have some explaining to do.
The culprit (because there's no way this was planned, right?) snuck into the team's Area 51 design headquarters and snapped a few shots of this very pre-production B5M. Rather than chassis components made of black-colored plastic composite, the car was built from clear pieces produced with a rapid prototyping machine.
This is NOT a production vehicle and, other than these photos, will likely never see the light of day. Engineers use models like this to make sure parts designed on a computer screen can be assembled in real life before hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on producing molds for production parts. The fact that this shelf queen looks so amazing with the Factory Team blue accents only makes it more of a tease.
