Clive Maland and CML win at the SNRC NitroXCross Christmas Bash

Enough of the turkey and chocolate covered candy, it's time to get racing! SNRC is an Astroturf track and good for winter racing, especially with the British winters we suffer, and 27th Dec was wet and a little bit windy. First off, water proof your servos and radio box then, let's begin.

Clive Maland was primarily using this meet as a test session, but was so happy with his car he didn’t touch it all day! 

The A Final, 25 minute race, saw Clive opt for safety as he knew he'd be spinning up the tyres. He decided for 8:30 minute pit stops. His pit man, Barney, was spot on and called him when he was clear. After 2 laps Clive was in front and just drove cleanly. The bitter cold on your hands made it difficult to keep it clean, driving fast was difficult for everyone especially as they had a light rain for a couple of minutes just after the mid way point, it soon cleared but left the track greasy. Associated cars finished 1st with Clive Maland and 3rd with Chris Ely. A good day when lots of cars were struggling to keep running in the horrible wintery conditions.
