Race report from Nosram:

Double A-final finish for Tom Cockerill and NOSRAM at the Euros!
The British Schumacher / NOSRAM driver adds another international success to his collection of great results: A-final finishes in both the 2WD and 4WD classes at the EP Buggy Euros!

The 2014 EFRA EP Buggy Euros were held in Trelleborg, Sweden. Being tight and short, the track in a hockey hall proved to be advantageous for technical drivers. The attendance of the Who is who of Europe’s electric offroad drivers made it a high-class event. More than 130 starters in 2WD and more than 140 starters in 4WD contributed to an absolutely successful race week.

First on was the 2WD competition. Schumacher / NOSRAM driver Tom Cockerill fought hard and successfully in the qualifying: he conquered the tenth place in a really first-class A-final line-up, headed by TQ Lee Martin, Jörn Neumann and Hubert Hoenigl. In A1, Tom was able to climb up to seventh position, leaving drivers such as David Ronnefalk and Robert Batlle behind him. Another great showing of the British also in the second final where he finished sixth, ahead of Hubert Hoenigl among others. The last final saw Tom crossing the line ninth. In the overall ranking, Tom Cockerill took the ninth position while Germany’s Jörn Neumann drove to the title by taking A-finals two and three from TQ driver Lee Martin who finished overall second ahead of Neil Cragg.

Motivated by this great result, Tom Cockerill started very confidently into the 4WD competition. Newly crowned 2WD European Champion Jörn Neumann took the TQ spot ahead of Lee Martin and Hubert Hoenigl. Tom finished the qualifying on the ninth position, bringing him to the A-final again. In A1, Tom had to settle for the tenth place. The second final already went better with Tom crossing the line eighth. Tom celebrated his personal highlight in the last race of the weekend: he showed a fantastic driving and finished fourth. In the overall ranking, Tom Cockerill reached the seventh position. Jörn Neumann took also the 4WD title. He won ahead of Lee Martin and Hubert Hoenigl.

In the 2WD and 4WD classes, Tom Cockerill kept up with the best drivers. Furthermore, he was able to improve his qualifying positions in both A-finals. A driving performance of that kind is only possible with high-power equipment. Tom Cockerill powers his Schumacher cars with NOSRAM. The combination of the NOSRAM comet HD speed control, pure 2 brushless motors and LiPo x-treme race hardcase packs is just the perfect choice for competition on the highest level. The new v3.8 software for the NOSRAM comet also proved to be a key factor for success on the slippery track.

Congratulations, Tom!
