Also known as the HobbyPlex, Tim and Alex run the Plex, and have been hosting races for the local racers for many years. Their facility is second to none, housing a massive hobby shop that stocks EVERYTHING from puzzles and games for the kids, to a complete lineup of Novak product! The Plex, of course, has an indoor race track with expansive pit spaces, but that's just the tip of the R/C iceberg! Indoor flying areas, a rock crawling course, and a huge outdoor track are all waiting for you when you pull into the parking lot. You'll feel giddy every time you arrive to this R/C mecca in the middle of the heartland.
They most recently hosted the 2010 ROAR Electric 8th Off-Road National Championship, have had several BRL events, and a host of VTA races as well. The Plex is the place to race in Nebraska. Bob Novak traveled to this, his home town, for the event. He was accompanied by So-Cal resident, Novak Factory Driver, and all around nice guy, Cody Turner.
Bob and Cody arrived to the event bright and early Wednesday for a full day of practice. Cody's TLR rides were handling great, and his Havoc Pro SC X-Drive/Ballistic system was running awesome! Bob himself is no slouch when it comes to wielding an R/C transmitter, and of course took part in the most fun class-- 4x4 SCT! Bob unleashed the beast and ran a prototype 8th-scale ESC. This will be the ESC for 8th-scale racing, but it has also proven to perform absolutely amazing in 4x4 SCT as well! Get'em, Bob!
Cody was flawless all through qualifying. He TQ’d each round and took the top spot in 2wd Buggy, 2wd Truck, and 4x4 SCT -- all 3 classes he raced in! When the mains kicked off on Sunday, there was no stopping Cody. He cruised on to victory in all three classes! How do you spell dominate? "Cody Turner" that's how!
Cody's vehicles are all powered exclusively by Novak's Havoc Pro SC with X-Drive and Ballistic Brushless Motors.
