Bruno Coelho has extended his run of being Modified Touring Car World Champion this past weekend in Bakersfield, CA. Simon Lauter joined him becoming champion of the TC Spec class.

The modified mains weren't without controversy with TQ, Michal Orlowski, and Coelho clashing in A1 with Orlowski getting the worst of it. Marc Rheinard would come from 4th to take the A1 win. A2 would be a little more textbook ordeal with Orlowski winning and Coelho and Ronald Volker rounding out the top 3. This would set up for an A3 brawl for the championship, Coehlo would strike taking the win which would setup a tie if Orlowski finished 2nd but Alex Hagberg would battle past Orlowski to finish 2nd and break the tie for the win. Bruno Coelho would be crowned champion with Michal Orlowski 2nd and A1 winner, Marc Rheinard finishing up 3rd.

Spec TC would be much more straightforward for TQ man Simon Lauter taking the win in A1 and A2 for the World Championship win. 2nd place qualifier Max Machler would finish up 2nd overall with 3rd place qualifier Jan Ratheisky finishing 3rd.

Special shoutout goes out to Sam Isaacs and Jacob Cruz for being the first American drivers in the Modified TC World's mains in a number of years.
