At the 2010 IFMAR Worlds, Jared Tebo was first introduced to Maxima RC as the Thailand-based brand went on to open the Asian headquarters for Team Orion. Tebo ran Maxima fuel in 2011 and 2012, but spent the 2013 season with Sidewinder. He switched back to Maxima in 2014 and was chosen to headline Maxima's new "Mx" brand in the U.S. along with Ryan Cavalieri. Both drivers will continue to run Team Orion for 1/10- and 1/8-scale electric, but became the first to run the new engines at a major event when today's qualifying rounds kicked off.
The only driver to sweep the ROAR National Championships in nitro buggy and truck in a single year ran his Mx-O.S. B21 in his MP9 TKI3 buggy for the first time a couple of weeks ago during a testing trip to RC Tracks Las Vegas, but hadn't yet run it in his ST-RR Evo until this weekend. Tebo said, "They're really good - they feel awesome. Really consistent, lots of power, and seems like really good mileage."
