While walking by the Tekno RC pits to check out Joe Bornhorst's and Ryan Lutz's vehicles that they'll be racing in the Pro A-Mains this weekend, I spotted these never-before-seen tools proudly engraved with the TEKNO logo on the handle's flat spots. Like all of the brand's vehicles, Tekno RC founder Danny Lewis and his team put an incredible amount of time and effort into creating what they feel will be the best RC tools ever.

The new line will begin with these eight items - drivers for 5mm, 5.5mm, 7mm, and 8mm nuts, and 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm Allen wrenches along with 2.0mm and 2.5mm ball wrenches. I picked one up and immediately noticed how nice the handles felt, both in texture and balance. "We spent probably four months on the handles to get the design right," said Danny, "moving the weight balance right where your thumb is. The handles are finished with a soft knurl that provides grip but is easy on your hands so you won't have as many blisters.)
Each tool is machined from a 4mm shank that is secured by a M5 setscrew. One side of the shank is machined flat down its entire length, making these wrenches and drivers totally adjustable. "The way that the shanks are machined is expensive, but it makes for a better, more usable tool," said Lewis.
Danny said that while they initially focused on covering the most commonly used tools to fit the widest possible variety of cars, they're working on additional items to add to the line. These first eight impressive wrenches should be available in the next few weeks.
